Chat history
Insights saves chat sessions so you can return to previous analytics investigations instead of starting over after a page refresh or a new work session.
What is saved
A saved chat can include:
- User messages.
- Assistant responses.
- Selected model provider.
- Selected app context.
- Chat title.
- Message status when a response completes, errors, or is cancelled.
Resume a chat
Open a previous chat from the chat history list to continue the same investigation.
Resuming a chat restores the selected app scope and model provider, so follow-up questions behave like the original conversation.
Rename a chat
Rename a chat when the first message is no longer a useful title.
Good chat titles are short and outcome-oriented, such as "June acquisition drop" or "Checkout anomaly review."
Delete a chat
Delete chats that are no longer useful or were created by mistake.
Deleted chats are removed from the history list. Your team should not rely on AI chat history as the only record of operational decisions.
When to start a new chat
Start a new chat when the topic changes, the selected app changes, or the conversation has accumulated too much unrelated context.
Keeping investigations focused improves answer quality and makes token usage easier to understand.
