Billing and usage

Billing is based on the plan attached to your account and the amount of billable traffic collected during the billing period.

Plans

Your plan controls the monthly or billing-period allowance for collected events. The dashboard shows the current plan, usage, and available upgrade or management actions.

Some accounts may have a manually managed plan. If a plan cannot be changed in the dashboard, contact support from the product website.

Billable usage

Billable usage counts meaningful analytics volume, such as pageviews and custom events. Technical events that keep sessions and engagement tracking working do not count against your allowance.

Usage is shown at the account level and broken down by property — see Ingest usage.

Usage period

Monthly paid subscriptions follow the active billing period. Annual subscriptions meter usage in monthly windows inside the subscription year. Free plans use the product's standard monthly window.

When a billing period changes, the usage meter resets for the new period.

Upgrades and plan changes

The billing page takes you to checkout or the customer portal. After checkout, the new plan appears on your account.

If you return from checkout and the dashboard still shows the old plan, refresh the billing page after a short delay.

AI credits

Plans include a monthly amount of AI credits for Insights. Included credits reset with your billing period, and usage is billed per model.

If the included credits run out before the period ends, you can buy prepaid credits from the billing page on any paid plan. Prepaid credits are spent after the included ones and never expire.

The billing page shows your included balance, and the prepaid balance once you have bought credits; View AI usage opens the per-chat breakdown described in Insights usage.

Invoices and receipts

On paid plans, invoices and receipts appear in billing settings. Billing notifications — payment receipts, usage alerts, and plan changes — also arrive in your in-app inbox and email.

Over allowance

When usage exceeds the plan allowance, Nexly gives you a grace period before the limit takes effect. Once it does, your sites and apps keep working normally, but events over the allowance are no longer stored.

This keeps websites and apps from breaking because of analytics limits, while protecting the account from collecting more data than the plan allows.

Upgrade or reduce ingestion volume to restore normal collection.
